Alpha and Woden Cub Scout Packs

The fun is never ending when you become a Cub Scout…

Join us today and begin a journey of fun filled experiences, which can provide you with life skills, amazing memories and discover new hidden talents.

You will get the chance to get involved with lots of different activities like climbing, camping, swimming, exploring, water sports, and making lots of new friends. When completing these exciting new activities, you receive badges which can be worn on your uniform, or even build up a camp blanket, where the badges can tell of a story of your journey through scouting.

Being outdoors and exploring is our favourite thing to do! Going on trips and camping outdoors or even sleepovers indoors is the perfect way for you to see new places and take part in activities. We’ve been trampolining, bouldering, climbing, archery, remembrance parades and even took part in district and county events.

Read below some of the reviews from our Cub Scouts and what their favourite things are about being in a Cub pack.

“I like cubs as I get to make new friends and try new activities”

“My favourite thing about cubs is playing games and going camping”

“I’d never been camping before I’d joined cubs, I was a little scared at first but now it’s my favourite. Sleeping in a tent and building fires is so much fun.”

Here at 1st Great Sutton Scout Group, we have 2 Cub packs Alpha and Woden.

Alpha meet on a Monday evening, at 6:30pm-8pm.
Woden meet on a Wednesday evening, at 6:30pm-8pm.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
