Wolf Cubs in the reading room

Early Wolf Cubs who held their meetings in the Reading Room (a wooden building used by the local community) at the top of Church Lane, Great Sutton next to St John’s Parish Church. The Reading Room and its associated bowling green were sold to make way for two houses. Photos feature St George’s Day in Ellesmere Port; Meetings with games (Jockeys Up) and at the back by the bowling Green. Note the coke scuttle with which the building was heated in the cold weather.
